Mobileye
Mobileye is an Israeli technology company developing driver-assistance and autonomous driving systems, operating as a subsidiary of Intel Corporation. Intel acquired Mobileye in 2017 for $15.3 billion. In 2022, Intel took Mobileye public while maintaining majority ownership, and by 2025 it sold down its stake to about 80%.
As a subsidiary of Intel, Mobileye operates within a corporate structure that connects it to extensive military-industrial operations. Intel is a priority target for the BDS movement due to its role in supporting Israeli military infrastructure and occupation.
Intel's Military-Industrial Infrastructure
Intel has been present in Israel since 1974 and operates as the country's largest private employer in the high-tech sector, with operations accounting for 3.5%-5.5% of Israel's total exports.
Intel's R&D centers in Jerusalem focus on communications, software, and cybersecurity development, technologies with direct military applications. Intel supplies advanced computer chips and infrastructure required to build AI programs used by the Israeli military.
Intel's manufacturing facilities in Kiryat Gat are built on the site of destroyed Palestinian villages al-Faluja and 'Iraq al-Manshiya. Intel processors and chips power military and war industries globally, including Israeli war contractors.
