Google Chrome
Chrome is a web browser owned by Google. Every Chrome user generates behavioral data, browsing history, search queries, and activity patterns, that feeds directly into Google's advertising revenue, which funds the infrastructure Google provides to the Israeli military through Project Nimbus.
Chrome defaults to Google Search, routing all search queries through Google's ad network. Users signed into a Google account while browsing allow cross-site behavioral tracking tied to a persistent identity, building the advertiser profiles that generated $237.8 billion in Google ad revenue in 2024.
With approximately 65% of the global browser market, Chrome gives Google effective control over web standards implementation. Google has used this position to shape or delay web standards that would reduce ad-tracking capabilities, protecting the ad business that finances its broader operations, including military cloud contracts.
