Guardio
Guardio is an Israeli cybersecurity company that provides browser security extensions. The company was founded by three veterans of the Israeli military intelligence unit who received Israel's National Security Award for classified service.
Military Intelligence Origins
Guardio's three founders, CEO Amos Peled, Chief Architect Daniel Sirota, and CTO Michael Vainshtein, served together in a cyber intelligence unit at the Israeli Prime Minister's Office. All three received Israel's National Security Award for their classified military work.
Before founding Guardio, Peled worked as a "Security Researcher and Developer" at the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel. This background means the founders possess expertise in offensive cyber operations and surveillance techniques developed for Israeli military intelligence.
Israeli War-Connected Investors
Guardio raised $47 million in December 2021 and $80 million in November 2025. The majority of investors are Israeli venture capital firms with war industry connections.
The Series B round was led by ION Crossover Partners, an Israeli fund. Managing partner Gilad Shany served 14 years in the Israeli Air Force as an F-16 pilot and commander, holding the rank of Major.
Union Tech Ventures (Tel Aviv) has direct investments in Israeli war technology, specifically Xtend Defense, which manufactures AI-powered tactical robotic systems for military use.
