Octopus Deploy
Octopus Deploy is an Australian DevOps automation company whose CEO Paul Stovell has conducted an extensive anti-Palestinian social media campaign while acquiring Israeli technology firms for tens of millions of dollars during the Gaza genocide.
The company received a $172.5 million investment from Insight Partners in 2021 but remains privately controlled by its founders. CEO Paul Stovell has used his corporate platform to promote Israeli military actions, justify Palestinian civilian casualties, and oppose Palestinian statehood while simultaneously expanding business relationships with Israeli technology companies.

CEO's Anti-Palestinian Propaganda Campaign
Paul Stovell has conducted an extensive, months-long social media campaign promoting Israeli government narratives while systematically dehumanizing Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims. His rhetoric goes far beyond political support to include historical revisionism, mockery of civilian casualties, and amplification of anti-Arab conspiracy theories.
Stovell explicitly justified Israeli actions that have killed tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, stating:
Pressure Hamas. Show them that sacrificing their own people will not achieve their aims [...] Don't let our empathy be weaponised against us
He repeatedly characterized Palestinian civilian deaths as strategic self-sacrifice rather than acknowledging Israeli responsibility, claiming:
This war they sacrificed 60,000 Palestinians and the UK and France wants to give them a state. [..] Maybe if they can find a way to lure Israel to kill 100,000 US will agree too?

and his only reaction to when confronted with images of Palestinian casualties by other X users is to shift blame, never blaming the settler colonial state.

Stovell engages in systematic denial of Palestinian identity and historical claims, posting lengthy revisionist arguments.

Opposition to Palestinian Rights
Stovell actively opposes Palestinian statehood recognition, comparing it to "granting ISIS a state" and retweeting statements condemning Australia's recognition of Palestinian statehood:

Israeli Business Expansion
In February 2024, during the height of the Gaza bombardment, Octopus Deploy acquired Israeli startup Codefresh for $40-50 million. The company's primary investor Insight Partners maintains one of the largest Israeli technology portfolios globally, with over $5.8 billion invested in 125+ Israeli companies.
Stovell promotes the apartheid state of Israel through his professional LinkedIn account during an active genocide, expressing his love for apartheid Israel and the people who live and support it:
