Rebook

Reebok is an American athletic footwear and apparel company owned by Authentic Brands Group. Reebok signed a sponsorship deal with the Israel Football Association (IFA) in February 2025, making it complicit in supporting an organization that includes football clubs based in illegal Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land. The BDS Movement has launched a priority boycott campaign against Reebok following this decision.

Authentic Brands Group acquired Reebok for $2.5 billion in 2022. ABG's largest investor is BlackRock, which holds an $875 million stake and maintains extensive investments in military weapons manufacturers and surveillance technology companies.

Israel Football Association Sponsorship

Reebok's two-year sponsorship agreement with the Israel Football Association directly in violation of international law. The IFA includes six Israeli football clubs located in illegal settlements built on occupied Palestinian land. This sponsorship came to replace previous IFA sponsors like Puma, Adidas, and Erreà, who claim they withdrew following international pressure campaigns. The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre requested a response from Authentic Brands Group regarding the sponsorship but received no reply.

This kind of sponsorship provides legitimacy to settlement activities that are considered war crimes under international law, making Reebok complicit in violations of Palestinian rights and territorial sovereignty.

Reebok also sponsored other Israeli sports activities, including its 2024 Olympic team after the genocide have begun by the apartheid state of Israel.

The company also maintains sponsorship deals with various Israeli basketball teams.

These relationships create multiple financial channels supporting Israeli sports infrastructure while Palestinian athletes face systematic restrictions and facility destruction.

BlackRock Military Connections

Through its ownership structure, Reebok’s profits ultimately flow to BlackRock, the largest investor in Authentic Brands Group with an estimated $875 million stake. BlackRock hold billions in investments in military weapons manufacturers such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, and Palantir.

This creates indirect connections between Reebok consumer purchases and funding for military-industrial operations, including weapons systems used in conflicts affecting Palestinian civilians.
