X Development

X Development, formerly known as Google X, is Alphabet's semi-secret research and development facility founded by Google. The division incubates projects that later become independent Alphabet subsidiaries, including Waymo, Wing, Verily Life Sciences, and Intrinsic. This makes it subject to the same boycott as Google due to its complicity in Israeli genocide as documented in the 2025 UN Human Rights Council report.

As an Alphabet subsidiary, X Development operates under the same corporate structure that provides $1.2 billion in military cloud and AI services to the Israeli military through Project Nimbus.
