As of May 2023, new investments are made under the successor brand HEARTFELT_, while the same team continues managing the existing APX portfolio.
Axel Springer requires all employees and subsidiaries to adhere to its mandatory pledge, which includes unconditional support for Israel. The company has fired employees who questioned this stance and has used its media platforms to spread anti-migrant and Islamophobic content. As a joint venture backed by Axel Springer.
Investment History
APX traces its origins to the Axel Springer Plug and Play Accelerator, which operated from 2013 to 2017 and made early investments in over 100 companies including N26. APX launched in 2018 as its successor, initially operating as a 100-day accelerator program before transitioning to a pure pre-seed venture capital model.
