Gradient Ventures is an AI-focused venture fund launched by Google in 2017, managing over $1 billion in assets. The fund spun out from Alphabet in October 2025 to operate independently though Google remains a main partner.

Gradient made a $9.5 million investment in 2020, a data privacy Israeli startup Mine.
In October 2025, Gradient co-led a $6 million seed round in Anchor Browser, an Israeli AI automation startup founded by Unit 8200 veterans who previously worked at SentinelOne, Noname Security, and BlinkOps.
Connection to Alphabet's Military Contracts
While Gradient spun out in October 2025, its investments during 2017-2025 were made as a wholly-owned Google subsidiary. During this period, Google provided cloud and AI services to the Israeli military through Project Nimbus, a $1.2 billion contract that the 2025 UN Human Rights Council report cited as contributing to Israel's "economy of genocide."
