Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR)
KKR is a private equity and investment firm maintaining a dedicated Israeli investment strategy across technology, real estate, and infrastructure sectors.
Israeli Technology Investments
KKR has invested over $500 million in Israeli technology companies since 2015. The firm invested $35 million in ClickTale, an Israeli company that develops software that tracks website visitor behavior.
In September 2015, KKR led a $42 million investment in Optimal+, a semiconductor analytics company based in Tel Aviv. KKR led another $48 million investment in Artlist in 2020, a digital content platform.
The firm led a $130 million investment in Guesty in April 2024. KKR invested $200 million in Israeli cybersecurity firm Semperis in 2022.
In early 2024, KKR acquired Israeli company UserWay for approximately $98.7 million through Level Access, a KKR-backed company.
Data Center Operations
KKR partnered with Global Technical Realty to build an underground data center in Israel. The facility serves Israeli technology companies and cloud service providers.
Axel Springer and Settlement Listings
KKR used to be the largest share holder of Axel Springer before it divested in April 2025 but still hold Aviv Group and Yad2.
In April 2024, The Intercept revealed that Yad2 hosted over 1,000 paid advertisements from real estate brokers selling and renting properties in illegal West Bank settlements. These paid listings generated revenue for both Yad2 and Axel Springer.
Five Palestinians and three village councils filed a formal complaint in Germany in December 2024 accusing Axel Springer of contributing to human rights violations through Yad2's facilitation of settlement activity.
