O.G. Venture Partners
O.G. Venture Partners (formerly O.G. Tech) is a venture capital firm backed by Ofer Global, the personal investment empire of Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer. The firm manages $1.5 billion.
A bank that finances the occupation
Eyal Ofer is a controlling shareholder of Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank, Israel's third-largest bank. The occupation research center Who Profits documents that the bank provides financial foundation and services for settlement activities and settlement expansion, and benefits from financial activity in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory.
Who Profits records that the bank finances construction projects in the settlements of Beitar Ilit, Ma'ale Adumim, Pisgat Ze'ev, and Ariel in the occupied West Bank, and Ramot in occupied East Jerusalem. In January 2026, the bank granted Israeli construction company Denefit Real Estate a loan for 14 housing units in Beitar Ilit, on land belonging to the Palestinian village of Nahalin.
Surveilling Palestinians
In June 2019, the fund, then operating as O.G. Tech Partners, joined the funding round of AnyVision, a Tel Aviv-based facial recognition company, alongside Microsoft's M12 and DFJ Growth.
AnyVision's technology, NBC News reported, powers "a secret military surveillance project throughout the West Bank" nicknamed "Google Ayosh," logging the faces of Palestinians at Israeli military checkpoints. The company won Israel's top military prize in 2018 for what the classified award called its "technological superiority and direct contribution to the prevention of terror attacks."
Defending war crimes
On October 13, 2023, the CEO of Web Summit, Europe's largest technology conference, posted on social media criticizing Western leaders for failing to condemn Israel's war crimes in Gaza and the genocide carried out by Israeli Occupation Forces. In response, O.G. Venture Partners joined a coalition of Israeli venture capital firms issuing a joint statement announcing their boycott of the conference.
We, members of the Israeli high tech community, have made the decision to cancel sponsorship and will not attend the upcoming Web Summit. We cannot, in good conscience, participate in a conference whose leadership blames Israel for war crimes while Hamas terrorists committed one of the worst terror attacks in modern history,
Despite the CEO of Web Summit's statement presenting factual observations within the context of the atrocities (later confirmed by the UN) Israeli venture capitalists demanded unwavering support for their state, which was already engaged in the mass killing of civilians at the time.
